People looking for homes online in Mumbai have increased by 15.2%, says a report in a popular portal. The report further states that Panvel along with Kharghar, Airoli, Taloja, Vashi, Kamothe, and Nerul are the most preferred localities in Navi Mumbai searched by online users. Connectivity to the rest of MMR is cited as a top reason.
The emergence of Panvel
Panvel is fast growing as the top hub in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Buoyed with the slew of infrastructure projects, including the new International airport, the location is emerging as the most preferred location for people who wish to buy a new home in MMR. A sprawling township created on the philosophy of Live Work & Play, it is well-connected via Old Mumbai-Pune Highway, the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, and the upcoming Panvel-Karjat rail corridor. 1 and 2 BHK apartments are the most sought-after residential segments with the new-age home buyers, says the report. Nearly 69% of users preferred this segment. 2 BHKs were also the most preferred segment in Navi Mumbai among online users with 48% giving it the thumbs up.

Hiranandani Fortune City, Panvel, is well connected by road and rail with all parts of the MMR. Old Mumbai-Pune Highway and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway are close to the township. The upcoming Panel-Karjat rail corridor adds another dimension to the township's connectivity factor. The 8 Lane Sion Panvel Expressway, Water Transport from Radio Club Ferry Wharf to NMIA/Belapur, Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, Metro Link, and the CST-Panvel Fast Suburban Corridor will further enrich the township.
